This program utilizes the unique features of each country, and you will experience hybrid exchange in several countries for over three months. For instance, the program has online and face-to-face English lectures, Summer School (Malaysia), and practical training at a marine laboratory. You may join interactive sessions using fisheries training vessels and online student conferences. There is a credit transfer system as well.
Subjects related to ‘sustainable marine environment and fishing industry’ are consolidated as the course delivered by professors of three universities (Japan, China, and Korea). From home and host university, you are able to get credits and the master’s degree (of fisheries science or environmental studies).
When students complete the program, they will present their research results in sessions related to the marine environment and fisheries resources at international conferences like the PICES annual meeting.
All of four countries are located in the central region of fisheries and marine domains. This geographical feature has made fishing-related firms to gather around those four countries. Thus, there are various opportunities of job trainings and internships.
